«Tiny Black Flag» is a daily meditative practice of transporting the invisible into the tangible world: friends, goddesses, and local spirits — found in specks and hints around us — invite us to marvel at the forces of fate and the beauty of the ordinary, and help us look for the interesting where it seems there is none.
For over twenty years I've been inventing characters and small stories about them.

«Tiny Black Flag» is dedicated to the power of images that dwell somewhere hard to reach. My daily drawings are a way for us to end up together where the ghostly becomes visible and the forgotten finds its voice.

Timelessness. Neanderthal poems and songs, heroic mushroom dreams, untold fairy tales and the hallucinations of a drowning man — a vortex of fragments and hints around us, from which emerge friends, goddesses, local spirits and figures existing in a cloud of the unseen or long forgotten.
Pulling characters from incorporeal scraps and specks in the eye is a continuous, meditative process of transporting the invisible into the tangible world. Once found, they invite us to marvel at the forces of fate, the wonders of nature and the meanings of simple moments. One by one.

Tiny Black Flag is a mark you can place on a well-lived day, and its collection helps me — and perhaps some of you — to seek the interesting in the everyday, find lost strength, and appreciate beauty in the ordinary.
